Langkawi
Langkawi refers to the cluster of about 100 over tropical islands lying off the north-western coast of the state of Kedah , on the Malaysian peninsular. The main island, popularly known as Pulau Langkawi or Langkawi island, is about 50 km from the town of Kuala Kedah on the peninsular.
The isles of Langkawi are rich in myths and legends, tales of the Langkawis tell of gigantic birds, demigods, warriors, princesses and maidens in tragedy and romances.
