There are buses or coaches from Singapore, Thailand and major cities in Malaysia (KL, Ipoh, Johore Bahru) to Kedah. You can be sure that buses are fully booked.
Travellers may also travel by air to the 2 kedah airports - one in Alor Setar (domestic airport) and another on Langkawi Island (international airport). The other airport is the Penang International Airport, on Penang Island.
